7.6Punctuation

  1. Every sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a full stop.
  2. Do not join two complete sentences with a comma. Use a full stop, or a linking word.
  3. Put a comma after an introductory phrase: However, the situation has changed.
  4. Capitalise names, countries, nationalities, languages, months and days: Arabic, September, Tuesday.
  5. Do not use an exclamation mark in Task 2. It is too informal for an essay.
